報告摘要：The last two decades saw the fast development of precision cosmology with the advances of modern telescopes. I will give a brief overview of modern cosmology and highlight its phenomenal successes and distinctive challenges. I will explain why and how the measurements of cosmic microwave background radiation, the relics of the primordial elements, and the galaxy distribution on large scales can improve our understanding of the fundamental building blocks of nature. Then I will discuss its distinctive challenges and the observational frontiers for high-energy physics, highlighting where the new physics may possibly emerge.
個人簡介: 馬寅哲教授在南京大學獲得物理學學士學位，在中國科學院理論物理研究所獲得碩士學位（導師：蔡榮根院士），并在劍橋大學獲得了天文學博士學位（導師：George Efstathiou FRS）。他曾在加拿大不列顛哥倫比亞大學做CITA National Fellow，并在曼徹斯特大學擔任研究助理，然后到南非非夸祖魯納塔爾大學任教（終身)，先后任高級講師（2015）,副教授（2018），和正教授（2021-）。他領導了南非和中國的基于SKA的天文合作，并擔任中國-南非天文聯合體共同主任。他的研究在觀測和理論宇宙學、射電天文學；課題包括宇宙微波背景輻射，21-厘米宇宙學，大尺度結構的互關聯。他曾經參與過歐洲宇航局Planck衛星團隊，澳大利亞六度星系巡天（6dF）。目前是平方公里射電望遠鏡陣列（SKA），中國五百米射電望遠鏡FAST，美國-南非HERA望遠鏡，美國CMB-S4望遠鏡和LSST (Vera C. Rubin Observatory)的核心成員，并主持若干國際合作研究項目。他發表了100多篇論文，被引總數超過17000，h-index 為 42。獲得過若干南非國家基金會的支持和國家自然科學基金委海外學者合作基金。
